Our mission is to serve seniors in Genoa and surrounding areas. We provide programs and activities locally to help keep you active as you age. By keeping active, both mentally and physically, you stay stronger which helps support independent living. This is especially important to those who elect to stay and age in place in their homes. Some of the programs and services we offer are craft classes, nutrition education classes, financial counseling, how to be aware of scams going around, homestead exemption sign up, help with Medicare and part D enrollment, health screenings, flu shot clinics, foot clinics, blood pressure and pulse clinics, help with commodities, mobile food pantry, a place for clubs or groups to meet, exercise groups, walking programs, field trips, a band, dancing games, tai chi, congregate meals, meals on wheels, and socialization. We also have special performances, songs, theater, cultural, music, band and dance by outside groups or performers. That is not all the services we offer currently and we are developing new ones to meet the needs of the community now.

Hours:  Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri 8:00 am - 3:00 pm (Lunch served from 11:30 - 12:30); Tue 8:00 am - 7:30 pm (Dinner served from 5:00 - 6:00).
The center may also be open at other times for special classes or occasions, usually advertised in the Genoa Leader Times or with flyers.
