Every Monday, 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm, Story time at the library, during school
Every Wednesday, 3:00 pm, Men’s Coffee in the Formal Dining Room at the Genoa Medical Facility Assisted Living


Annual celebrations in Genoa include the Easter Extravaganza, which includes an appearance by the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt; Pawnee Days, includes a demo derby, parade, pool games and a family fun night; fireworks display on July 4th; the Genoa U.S. Indian School Foundation exhibits from Memorial Day through Labor Day and holds an Indian School Reunion in August; Halloween meal in October; and an old fashioned Christmas with Santa Claus in December.

Cemetery Board Meetings: 1st Wednesday of every other month at 4:30 p.m. in the Genoa Historical Museum

Genoa Fire Department Meetings: 1st Thursday of the month at 7 pm at the Genoa Fire Hall

The Pawnee Capital of Nebraska

Genoa, named and established by the Mormons in 1857, has a rich heritage. The Skidi Pawnee lived in this area since before the 1600s and the Mormon trail passed through Genoa in 1857. Visitors are encouraged to learn more about Genoa's heritage by visiting the Genoa Historical Museum.
